When I needed to find someone to paint three rooms in my house, two with new drywall on the ceilings, I didn't feel optimistic about the calls and interviews that would accompany my search. I've hired contractors in the past, and my experience with finding someone who will do a great job exactly the way you want can be frustrating and disappointing. My electrician (fantastic BTW!) suggested I call Weston of Wes Coast Contracting. At that point, I had already spoken with and received the bids from three other contractors who told me how they'd do the job and weren't convinced to use the paint brand or do the process that I wanted. Wes responded very quickly and was right on time to talk to me about the job. He was very lively and eager when he explained his process to me, and it was exactly what I expected for a great paint job that would last many years. I began to feel enthusiastic when he expressed his desire to make my rooms beautiful. He went a step further and suggested he install quarter round at the bottom of the baseboard. Sometimes when you live with something, you don't notice it anymore, but Wes notices. He's current on what sheen to apply where to make a room look extra special. Wes sent me the bid the very next morning. He wasn't the cheapest, nor was he the most expensive. He was very fair in his pricing. Anyone can tell that Wes loves what he does, and that he enjoys making people's dreams come true. He's a very positive person and is great at communicating with his clients because he enjoys it. He called me at the end of each work day to give me an update and informed me when, what, and who would be showing up next. And Wes coordinated with my electrician when he needed to do his next step in the lighting installation. I love the job that Wes did with my rooms, and they do look beautiful. I trust Wes completely. He wasn’t the cheapest or the most expensive option but what set him apart from the others was that he was genuinely wanting to finish the basement to match my exact vision. He even had me send him Pinterest pictures to make sure he knew exactly what I was picturing. Once construction started his team was quick but he was always checking in to make sure I knew the schedule for the week, who I should expect to show up, and what the goals were. The communication was really appreciated when so many randoms start ringing your doorbell. There were a few hiccups (mostly 3rd party vendors) but Wes and his team was always responsive and he made sure to fix anything we didn’t like or wanted adjusted. Unrelated to the basement construction our AC went out middle of summer and Wes had an AC buddy guy show up the same day (after being put on a week long waiting list for multiple companies). He and his guys (thanks Sergio!) fixed a few other small issues around the house while they were here.
